Programming

ISFF Houston will be held April 2, 2023. We will center our programming around the films Phi Slama Jama. We will celebrate Houston’s influence on collegiate basketball and take a look back 40 years later on the ripple effects of the game against NC State. How a missed play ushered in one of the biggest sports charities in history, the V Foundation and one of the most impactful speeches ever made, by Jim Valvano at the ESPY Awards.

We will also celebrate the city of Houston’s impact on the sport of college basketball and beyond and the sportscasters who told their stories. From Jim Nantz to Barry Warner, these figure’s impact went well beyond the city of Houston.
